This is your final warning!
‘Super Sunday’ is this weekend so this is your very last chance to get your products listed and catch those credit card ready buyers. Either add Buy It Now listings or place your products on 3 day Auction style listings TODAY so that they end on Sunday – Super Sunday!
I’ve had a very busy week this week and I’m so excited that I now have 20 brand new apprentices to mentor. If you are one of the lucky ones then I’m really looking forward to getting going and helping you on the road to success. Please make sure you book your December email consultancy slot and send back your questionnaire if you haven’t done so already – details are in your welcome pack.
The response to my offer was overwhelming and so I’m really sorry if you missed out this time, but I will be looking to run further consultancy slots and live workshops throughout 2012 so please look out for more information on this early next year. In the meantime, don’t forget that you can add your name to the waiting list here and of course I am always happy to answer your questions via email so please contact me if you wish. I’ll always do my best to get back to you within 48 hours.
How just two products listed on eBay, can earn you profits equal to, or more than, your current yearly salary
Anyway, after all the excitement of this week, I’m throwing a party tonight! Well, it’s the only way I get to have a kind of ‘office party’ and so tonight it’s our annual Christmas bash for all our close friends. Earlier this week I made the obligatory trip for alcohol supplies to the Costco Cash & Carry warehouse I favour up near Birmingham and four hours and two trolleyfulls later I emerged a disheveled wreck wondering, as I always do, if I have purchased enough of everything! On my arrival home, my other half took one look and asked exactly how many people were coming? Had I invited the entire village? So, I think my drinks calculations were somewhat generous!
So it was whilst I was at the cash and carry, trying to maneuver my ever increasing load around sharp corners and trying not to catch other peoples ankles on the wonky wheels that I spotted several products that definitely had ‘reselling’ potential – see there’s never any rest for me – eyes wide open all the time looking for possible hot products! So I thought I’d share these with you today. Just a quick word of warning first - Costco has a high turnover of stock so if you want these items you’ll have to get your skates on!
First of all, something for the ‘baby goods’ niche. This is a great niche to get into because of course, babies will always keep being born and there are plenty of items to consider in lots of sub-niches. You’ve got maternity – think maternity belts, fetal dopplers, maternity pillows and clothes, then you’ve got the birth itself – TENS machines for pain relief, massage products, birthing balls and so on, then you have the huge post-pregnancy market – bottles, bibs, baby clothes, toys, feeding equipment, baby monitors, safety equipment – the list is endless!
So, whilst careering around Costco, I spotted some branded feeding bottles. From my past research on eBay, I know that this particular brand is very popular – it’s Tommee Tippee and this package was for 6 Closer To Nature Feeding Bottles. On Tuesday at Costco, the price including VAT was £10.42. Today on eBay they are selling at £19.99 plus £3.95 postage, a total of £23.94 – see item number 110739882619. So, after your stock, eBay, PayPal and postage costs have been deducted (a total of £16.48) you can make a profit of £7.46 for every pack of these you sell. Not bad at all!
Next on my travels, I spotted a handy little contraption called ‘Snow Trax’. This product falls into a seasonal niche because it’s really only a winter purchase although people do start buying these early in the season in order to be prepared for the snow and ice. It’s a product that you simply attach to your shoes and the grip then stops you from slipping over.
These were available in Costco in packs of 2 pairs for £11.38 including VAT – so £5.69 each. The very same product is currently selling on eBay for £12.99 plus £2.95 postage – see item number 190570879329. This makes a total of £15.94 and that’s for just one pair so you can split the pack with these. So, once again after all your costs have been deducted – in this case £9.87 – you will make £6.07 on each pair sold. Alternatively you can sell them in packs of two for £17.29 plus £2.95 postage (£19.99) like this seller – item number 200677058814 – and you’ll make £3.52 profit per 2 pairs sold – I know which option I’d go for!
Now not every product sold in Costco is going to be viable for reselling online but they do regularly offer some proper bargains that you can take advantage of so it’s definitely worth a look. They have warehouses all over the place so just check out if there is one near you.
So, back to the products and the all important profits! I want to put this into perspective for you, so here’s the thing; if you sell just 5 each of both these items every day – which is perfectly possible – and you’ll make a total net profit of £67.65 a day – equivalent to £473.55 a week. Or to put it another way that’s £24,624.60 a year…
If this is equal to, or is more than, your yearly salary in your current employment it
really makes this option worth thinking about doesn’t it? And imagine what you could earn with more than two products!
I’ll leave you with that thought this week…
As always I wish you the best of success
Amanda
